Fundraising Priorities
Each year, Georgetown Hospital staff and physicians sit down with hospital leadership and craft a prioritized list of equipment needed for our hospital. Some of these items are replacements for existing pieces that have reached the end of their lifespan, and others are brand-new to Georgetown Hospital, updating our technology and expanding our service offerings. It is the Foundation’s role to raise the funds needed to purchase the items deemed most critical to the hospital.
Your generous gift will help ensure our healthcare teams at Georgetown Hospital have the best tools and technology available to provide exemplary care to you and your loved ones when you need it most.

Patient Monitors
Patient monitors track vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, and breathing in real time – helping healthcare teams recognize changes in a patient’s condition and respond quickly when care is needed.
With your help, we will raise $70,000 for this critical equipment upgrade, which will impact the health and well-being of thousands of patients and families in our community.
“For many patients, a CT scan is the key step that allows doctors to make the right diagnosis quickly and accurately. Having this technology right in the hospital, close to home, ensures that patients aren’t waiting or being transferred elsewhere for urgent testing. ”
– Dr. Abena Engmann, Physician Site Lead, Emergency Medicine, Georgetown Hospital
