Volunteer Spotlight: Mandy

Our Stories

This Volunteer Appreciation Week, we are proud to shine a spotlight on Mandy Armstrong Rogers — a long-time Georgetown resident, dedicated volunteer, and valued member of our Board of Directors — as she embarks on a well-earned retirement.

Mandy’s journey with the Foundation began in 2017 when she joined the Gala Committee, bringing with her a genuine commitment to her community. The following year, she was invited to join the Board of Directors, where she would go on to serve for eight years, completing her term in 2025. From 2022 to 2024, she served as Chair of the Board, working closely with former Executive Director, Sandra Taylor, to lead the organization through a period of continued growth and impact. She brought a unique perspective to the role, with a professional background outside of healthcare and charitable fundraising, a quality that strengthened the board’s collective thinking and approach.

Reflecting on her time with the Foundation, Mandy shared: “It has been a rewarding experience to contribute to an organization that plays such a vital role in the community.”

“Mandy has given so much of herself to this foundation and to the community it serves. Through her leadership as Board Chair and her involvement across committees — with standout leadership on the Gala Committee — she’s helped shape not just what we do, but how we do it. There’s a real thoughtfulness in the way she’s guided the spirit of giving in Georgetown, and that’s been appreciated by everyone who’s had the chance to work alongside her.”
– Melanie Frazer, Board Chair

Mandy’s leadership, collaborative spirit, and unwavering commitment to the Foundation’s mission have left a lasting mark on our organization and the community we serve. We are deeply grateful for everything she has contributed, and we wish her all the best in this exciting new chapter.
